Curious to know the latest buzz surrounding the new registry of Innovation Managers?

On June 22, 2023, the eagerly awaited platform for the new registry of Innovation Managers was launched, marking the beginning of a new era. These experts in innovation and digitalization were initially registered in the MISE list of 2019, showcasing their dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry.

What is MISE?

MISE, which stands for the Minister of Economic Development and Made in Italy, is responsible for championing businesses and upholding the standards of quality, innovation, and excellence associated with the renowned Made in Italy brand.

What are the areas that fall under MISE's jurisdiction?

MISE takes charge of organizing and overseeing various state operations encompassing industry, craftsmanship, energy, and commerce.

According to a recent decree from the Minister of Economic Development and Made in Italy, accredited professionals and consulting companies have embarked on a fresh registration process. This registration serves as a clean slate for companies seeking their services in the field of Industry 4.0, with the potential to be selected. The registration period for the new registry of Innovation Managers commenced on September 5, 2023, and will conclude on October 5, 2023.

The much-awaited return of the innovation consulting voucher is here for Innovation Managers.

Following the resounding triumph of its inaugural edition, which led to the Ministry of Economic Development securing an extra 45 million euros to meet the overwhelming demand, the highly anticipated Voucher for Innovation Consulting, also known as the Innovation Managers' voucher, is set to make a comeback in 2023.

What benefits do Innovation Managers receive from this incentive?

Innovation Managers are eligible for an exciting incentive that grants them a voucher covering up to 50% of the expenses associated with specialized consulting services. This voucher is available to qualified, independent, and temporarily hired Innovation Managers who have a consulting contract lasting at least nine months.

The percentage of expenses eligible for the voucher varies based on company size. The directorial decree issued regulates the terms and procedures for the registration of qualified Innovation Managers and consulting companies on the Ministry's list, with a deadline of November 23, 2023.

What is included in the new measure?

The implementation of the new measure involves a refreshing of the existing list, necessitating even previously considered eligible managers to go through the application process once again.

Once the comprehensive lists of qualified managers are compiled, companies will have the exciting opportunity to submit their applications for the voucher, providing detailed information about the specific project for which they require the expertise of an Innovation Manager.

The specific terms and procedures for submitting these applications will be outlined in a subsequent measure from the General Directorate for incentives to enterprises.

As part of their role, Innovation Managers will play a crucial role in assisting small and medium-sized enterprises in navigating the challenges of the green and digital transition.

Is the Innovation Manager recognized internationally?

The International Innovation Manager Association (IMIA), founded in 2003, represents a fundamental pillar for the entire Innovation Manager sector, constituting a significant international registry. As a non-profit organization, IMIA plays a crucial role in promoting innovation and facilitating the professional development of Innovation Managers.
Parallel to IMIA, the European Innovation Management Association (EIMA) offers a European certification program, contributing to further strengthening the importance of the Innovation Manager internationally. This proliferation of international registries unequivocally underscores the growing importance of the Innovation Manager within global companies.
